What is the Rare Method?
THE RARE EQUATION
Start by shifting your attention from your mind to your body.
We begin with a practice that takes attention away from our thoughts and returns our awareness to our bodies through somatic scanning. By settling into the sensations of our current state, we open the communication line between the mind and body and begin to regulate the nervous system. Feeling for sensations gives us clues for where emotional and physical energy is being stored.
Begin to assess your felt sensations and identify their messages.
Our sensations can manifest as tension, contraction, pain, buzzing and other felt experiences. As these sensations are identified, we can begin to ask the body what it’s been holding, what it needs, what it’s trying to alert us to, and how the energy and emotion it’s storing can be acknowledged, processed and released. This is how we learn to reclaim our emotional, physical and psychological state..
Learn to address your needs through energetically tailored applications.
Now that the body has verified its needs, we can prompt shifts through physical and energetic applications. It’s here that we attend to the nervous system by discharging or recharging the current energy, and encourage new and nourishing sensations to flood the body and mind. Over time this coping process also helps us to strengthen our stress tolerance and increase our range of resilience.
Become embodied and ignite your inner authority for greater alignment.
Once emotional and physical charges are renegotiated in the body and the nervous system is regulated, brainwaves are slowed and the mind is left clearer and more attuned. By pausing in this moment we train the brain to associate this state of being as a touchstone to return to. Here we are more present, accessing the subconscious and in-sourcing deeper messages from our inner authority, intuition and wisdom. Reflection through a journaling practice helps us continue to attend to our patterns by recognizing and deconditioning our behaviors, motivations and pseudo-beliefs. This cultivates autonomy, discernment, and creativity and assists us in reframing our thoughts and actions for a new, realigned way forward.
