Sensation – Your Body’s Language

Your body, with its sensory organs and nervous system, is a remarkable communicator and information storehouse. It guides you through life by processing sensations and emotions. However, the modern world often disconnects us from this vital aspect of ourselves.

Reconnecting means reacquainting yourself with your body's sensations and emotions. It's about relearning the language of your body and integrating its wisdom into your life.


R–ECONNECT Meditation

Prepare yourself for this meditation by setting yourself up in a private, quiet and comfortable space. If possible, dim the lights or place something like a sleep mask or eye pillow over your eyes.

JOURNAL
  • Write about a current or recent experience that stirred something up inside of you – whether it be a flurry of emotion or a swirl of thoughts. 
  • What were the prominent emotions you felt?
  • As you recall this experience and its emotions, notice any felt sensations that you’re feeling now or that you recall feeling.
  • Where in your body do/did you feel the sensations? 
  • What are the characteristics of the sensations: texture, density, movement, pressure, temperature or color?
