Make moves beyond the mat.
Now, let's explore the crucial last step in the Rare Method: Embody. In this phase, we intentionally pause and take the time to connect with the new sensations that arise after the nervous system has shifted, stagnant energy has been released, and we begin to feel more aligned with our innate wisdom—the Rare Essence that makes each of us unique and exceptional.
The Rare Essence represents the part of us that inherently "knows" the way forward and what is authentically aligned with our true selves. It's like an inner compass guiding us towards our genuine path. By consciously pausing to allow these sensations and messages from within to surface, we can fully embrace and embody them.
This process of embodiment operates on multiple levels, including the cellular, somatic, and neurological pathways within our body and mind. It's akin to debugging and upgrading the software program of your own being. In this phase, we replace old patterns and conditioning with new beliefs and capacities that are in alignment with our authentic selves.
Embodying the Rare Essence creates a reference point of inner-truth, enabling us to move forward in life with greater clarity, authenticity, and resilience. It empowers us to navigate challenges and make decisions from a place of In-Sourced wisdom, rather than reacting based on out-sourced beliefs, pressures, ideals or conditions.
EXERCISE
Come back to the corrective experience you wrote about. Take a moment to walk through that corrective experience, as though you could emotionally re-write your past. You might do this with visualization, or you might write about it.
Once you have the corrective experience, allow new emotions and their sensations to move through your body and your mind. Give yourself plenty of time to #feelitall.
- What was the feeling of the corrective experience? The emotions, the sensations.
- How can you give yourself what you need and desire?
*If at any time you backtrack into the old story and emotions, find grounding sensations in your body to give yourself a down-shifted, calming effect.
ACKNOWLEDGE & RECLAIM
- What have I been doing (or not doing) to keep myself safe?
- Is there a pattern or behavior here? How is it manifesting in my life?
- What does this behavior or pattern tell me on a subconscious level?
- What is a new belief I want to connect to?
- What are small behaviours/actions/changes I can make to embrace and enforce this new belief?
NEURO ACTION: SATURATE & RE–ROUTE
- How does the possibility of this new belief & behavior feel in my body?
ACTION: Take a moment to interact with the feeling of this new belief. Let it saturate your insides and existence so your brain can familiarize this new feeling. Giving it a new default to come back to in your day-to-day. Eventually forming new neural pathways and a new belief pattern.
TRAJECTORY STATEMENT
A "Trajectory Statement" is a single and simple phrase that you can easily remember and say to yourself or out loud when faced with the potential of being triggered/activated, repeating a pattern or getting stalled out in an old belief. It can be framed as an affirmation "I am" statement. Or, an internal command mobilizing you to make a different decision or take action.
